Removal of Cadmium and heavy metals from phosphate

ICL Innovation seeks technologies to remove Cadium and heavy metals from fertilizers by utilizing a cost effective way to remove them in the phosphate ore stage.

Background

Regulations keep tightening as the world moves towards ever more bio-friendly products. ICL embraces these new regulations and looks for new methods to comply in a cost effective manner. The current challenge is removing heavy metals from fertilizers, in particular Cadmium. We are assessing possibilities to remove cadmium and heavy metals in superphosphates and phosphate rocks to meet these environmental regulations.

Our criteria

Information on ICL's fertilizers can be found in the ICL Fertilizers web page.

As a technology incubator, ICL Innovation is looking only for innovative technologies that may be further developed and commercialized through a business unit in ICL.
